Module 4 - Adobe Acrobat reader:
I have download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader (Adobe Reader 8.0).
I have used this piece of software before and i think its great for reading files published in pdf format. The only issue with this software is that it is over 20 megabytes to download. Some people still have slower connections like me and 20 megabytes is a long time to wait.
I found and installed another pdf viewing program called Foxit Reader
Taken from the www.filehippo.com website
"Foxit Reader is a free reader for PDF documents. You can view and print PDF documents with it.

The download size is around 1MB, so you can download it quickly. It doesn't need any lengthy installation, so you can start to run it as soon as you can download it.
And it starts up immediately, so you don't need to wait the annoying "Welcome" screen to disappear."
I prefer using Foxit Reader over Adobe Acrobat because of the size difference, they both do the same job except Foxit Reader is much smaller, and essentially quicker.
top 5 tips for new web bloggers
According to Rebbecca Blood (Blood, 2002) here are some handy tips that could prove useful to new web bloggers.
1. Publish as fact only that which you believe to be true.
2. If material exists online, link to it when you reference it.
3. Publicly correct any misinformation.
4. Write each entry as if it could not be changed; add to, but do not rewrite or delete, any entry.
5. Disclose any conflict of interest.

FTP
Copyright
Interesting reading over @ http://www.benedict.com/info/info.aspx regarding copyright. It really does open your eyes to what you can and cant do.
But regarding this site, i have not used any images and words that contravene copyright.
Regarding using the Curtin logo for an assignment
according to the Curtin website:
Unless otherwise stated, the material published within the Curtin website is Curtin copyright.
no part of this site may be reproduced, in whole or in part, without the specific written permission of Curtin first-hand and obtained.
So in other words for me to be able to use Curtins logo for an assignment i would get permission from them first. Just to be on the safe side of things :)
